The Covid-19 pandemic is rising all over the world and also in Malaysia.  However the preparation to combat and prevent the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus, we must be thankful to the Government of the day. We, the Rakyat must give our full support to the Government and relevant authorities to help flatten the curve.

We must thank YBhg.Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, YB Datuk Ismail Sabri and also, a promising MP YB Khairy Jamaluddin who have highly demonstrated to be a concerned, devoted and determined MP with all the plans and ideas to help fight this deadly virus,

Thank you, guys, for being front liners in this battle for saving the Nation and the country.  God bless all of you and your families too. 

I call upon all Malaysians to pray to God to help eradicate this global pandemic and to strictly follow the SOPs that have been enforced by the Government. Too many lives have been lost because of the lack of responsible attitude to adhere to the SOPs which was put in place for our own good and safety.

Thank you YB Khairy, by your action, you have proven beyond doubt that you are indeed a caring MP – A leader full of desire to serve the Nation.

Mahathir defends former IGP

Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has defended his move to appoint Abdul Hamid Bador as the inspector-general of police (IGP) under his then Pakatan Harapan government.

The Langkawi MP said he had selected Hamid out of confidence in the then Special Branch deputy director's capabilities to restore the police's image which had been tarnished by corruption.

"I met him before he (Abdul Hamid) retired (in 2018)... he said in the police force there was a lot of corruption, graft and he was the number two in the Special Branch (at the time).

"He was due to be appointed Special Branch director but he did not want the job because of corruption and graft," Mahathir said in an interview with Malaysiapost last night.

"So I thought, not many people were willing to take up early retirement over an opportunity for a promotion, but when he did that, I thought he would do a good job (as IGP).

"That is why even though he was a junior, even though he had retired, I called him back to be the IGP," he added. 

On May 3, Hamid ended his contract as IGP and handed over power to his deputy Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

Several days prior to his retirement, he launched an attack against Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin, exposing alleged attempts to interfere in the police's internal affairs.

This was on top of claiming that Hamzah had abused the police for his political benefits.

Commenting further, Mahathir commended Hamid's attempt to crack down on corruption within the force.

"Throughout his time as IGP, quite a number were arrested for graft, something that never used to happen. Maybe there was not a lot of corruption then but there is now," he said.

Mahathir added that such alleged interference by a minister should not have occurred.

"It should not happen. I had good ties with the IGP but that doesn't mean we want to overpower them.

"So, there can be good ties between a minister and IGP, under the condition there is no abuse," the nonagenarian said.

呼吁政府抗疫别掺杂政治水分，人民则必须自律自保

  

我国疫情不退则进，这凸显了政府的抗疫政策没有成效，不但无法断了新冠传染链，更没有达到预期的效果。每天的数据就告诉我们一件实事，就是政府抗疫纳入了太多虚招，包括颁布紧急法令还有佳节的SOP，对抗疫没有一点帮助。

我国近期的新冠感染已经逐渐在社区传染，上至高官部长，下至升斗小民，都纷纷中招，使我国的感染人数居高不下，而死亡数据，也由每天的个位数，上升到两位数，我们应该从印度惨况吸取教训，别为了博取支持率而推行一些民粹形式的抗疫SOP，这种举动的确令人感到担心！

病毒是不分宗教和肤色的，因此抗疫要靠自律，如果人民无法自律，那么政府就要严律，不是靠喊口号就可以达到抗疫效果的。

我也恳求所有的宗教信徒要善用上天给你们的脑袋，在进行任何聚会、恳亲会、互访等动作之前，请先想清楚，真的要为自己和别人着想，如此一来，才可以做到利己利人。

我认为，人们除了懂得祈祷之外，最重要是要懂得自律和保护好自己，这样才可以让自己和家人平安地生活。

保护好自己是你个人的责任，保护好大家是大家的共同责任，所以我奉劝大家要步步为营，因为大家都可能是大家身边的计时炸弹，你从不会知道你会在那里感染到病毒，因此，大家要尽量减少流动，多照顾本身的卫生，勤洗手，常戴口罩。

病毒不会因你是某个宗教信徒，或正在庆祝什么佳节喜庆，你就有免疫功能，请自律，请照顾好自己，你才能保护好别人！

痛批政党的窝里斗，痛恨政客辜负选民

 

 在全国上下忙着应对疫情的时刻，国内各政党不时传出窝里斗的新闻，着实令人厌恶，最新的一件，就是行动党前州议员陈博雄的“倒林运动”，令人感到恶心！

 为什么政治人物总是不能好好服务人民，一直为了一己私利，摇身一变成了政棍，把自己当初对选民下的“山盟海誓”早已抛诸脑后，还不断出卖人民的利益。

政治人物当初决心投身政坛，到底初心是什么？是为了当官致富吗？还是为了服务人民和国家？凡是窝里斗的，都会说“与个人无关”，如果不是因为“事不如己愿”，你会不满吗？这难道不是与个人有关吗？请这些政棍别再这么恶心了吧。

你们要斗，就请关起门来斗，不要再浪费新闻版位，在疫情肆虐期间，不断利用媒体把自己的情绪传播给人民，对人民不安的心情造成更大的压力，请你们多给一点暖心，让人民可以在此时此刻安心应对疫情对生活的冲击。

你们自以为窝里斗就是“社会正义”，实际上你们是为社会添乱、添堵，你们的言论反而触发了社会的焦虑，给全民的情绪带来了严重的负面影响。

陈博雄，我奉劝你一句，不要再向社会尤其华社散播负面情绪。华社不需要你们这种为一己私利的正义，你们的行为只会让仇者快，而且无助于推动华社的发展。

根据华人传统美德，家丑不外扬，陈博雄应该把家丑留在家里，自家关起门把它给解决了。我们这个社会，尤其是华社已经有太多负面的东西了，我们的心理压力已经很沉重了，不要再荼毒我们的心灵了。

不断向外宣传，只会增加个人知名度，并无助于减轻华社，尤其中下层人们的压力，如果政客们有太多的精力，不如Turun Padang去给社会人士实质的协助，这样才是功德无量。

 

Police reports filed against Dr M over 'Malays and rulers' remark

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s allegation that the Malays are growing upset with the rulers has courted two police reports.

One of the complainants, Lee Ket Woon, who claimed to be a member of Penang’s Seberang Prai Tiong Hua Association, wanted the police to investigate if Mahathir’s statement contained seditious elements. The 43-year-old salesperson also asked if Mahathir and his supporters violated the conditional movement control order (CMCO) SOP when they gathered outside Istana Negara.

“I hope the inspector-general of police would investigate if he (Mahathir) touched on matters disrespectful to the rulers, especially the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” he added in his report.

Meanwhile, Gerakan Pembelaan Ummah chief Mohd Shukor Aziz said in his report that the former premier had made a fraudulent statement.

“I don’t think there is a large number of Malays who are angry with the rulers. Even the petition to press the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to end the emergency garnered only 40,000 signatures,” he added.

The 59-year-old manager also argued that Mahathir’s remark should be considered an offence under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act for “inciting, insulting and causing hatred” towards the rulers.

“Mahathir’s remark is a serious matter because he is a former prime minister and an MP with a large following. Therefore, I am asking the police to investigate him,” he added.

Both reports were filed with the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.

On Tuesday, Mahathir told reporters outside Istana Negara that many Malays were coming forward to criticise the rulers.

“It is unusual for Malays (to go against the rulers) but such is the feeling now on the ground,” he added.

Mahathir said the “dissent” was due to the public’s lack of knowledge about Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s role in advising the king leading to the emergency proclamation.

Earlier today, Malaysiakini reported that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has granted his consent for an ad-hoc opposition committee appealing for the end of the emergency to have an audience with him.

STOP THE BIG FUSS – LET THE COUNTRY MOVE ON

Of late there has been a lot of hoo-hah between politicians pertaining to the purported audio recording between Anwar and Zahid. 
Strange enough the issue on the alleged audio recording may just be their political discussion between two politicians.  What is the big fuss unless the comments being against the Government or our supreme leader, our King otherwise it is just a common conversation.
 
Malaysia is a beautiful country, which has professed strong emphasis on having the freedom of speech and expression.  So long as it falls within our divine constitution, we must be allowed to practice.
 
Perhaps it will be logical to explore in-depth in the Parliament or air it out in the proper channel.  For an example, form a Forum and invite the reputable politicians or well known public figures to thrash it out in an open debate – STOP MAKING A BIG FUSS as we are blessed by our divine constitutions.  We should let the laws of the day be the final judge and its decision to be made known.
 
The Nation should just move on.
