THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD MUST BE GIVEN TO YB DATUK SERI NAJIB ABDUL RAZAK!!!

It hurts to read about Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani is disgracing former PM Najib Abdul Razak in the press. To the best of my knowledge, UMNO has inherited and practiced very good Muslim teaching since Day One, the formation of UMNO.  It is in fact a fundamental budaya of all fellow Malaysian, more so the Muslims as this is your treasured culture.

Please stop raining salvos on your former Party President.  Former PM Najib is currently going through a bad period.  Lots of allegations been slammed on him including court cases.  If Datuk Seri Johari have a minimum bit of your Muslim culture and teaching, I am sure Datuk Seri Johari should allow former PM Najib to prepare himself to address all these allegations against himself, more so in the open Court of law.  Surely but truly if Datuk Seri Johari do not wish to help former PM Najib, do not hit him further.  Former PM Najib must be given the right to be heard.  So far former PM Najib still claims to be innocent.  Let the courts decide the truth. 

Today former PM Najib is no longer the President of UMNO, however I think due respect to former PM Najib should always prevail by the UMNO members.  After all this is the fundamental “budaya” of all fellow Malaysians more so the Muslims as this is your culture and good Muslim teachings.  In the meanwhile, respect yourself, your family and the wonderful Muslim teachings. 

Never, never say your compatriot is “History”.  If Datuk Seri Johari has a chance to check your own conscience and be a gentleman please retract Datuk Seri’s statement that former PM Najib is “History”, if indeed Datuk Seri is a gentleman.  I am sure that former PM Najib will explain when the times comes in the Court of Law, the right to be heard must always be given or heard before any conclusion is formed.

RESPECT BEGETS RESPECT, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.  Nobody is absolutely clean, except GOD. Amin.  I pray for you.

猛轰承认统考文凭这码事已从“一哩路”演变到“看不到路”！

我对希盟执政的100天的成绩的确有所失望，特别是他们对待统考文凭的态度，更令人大失所望。如果希盟可以违背白纸黑字竞选宣言的承诺，那么，我们也可以断定，他们所谓的“清廉、可信赖”愿景也可以随时幻灭。

教育部长马智礼在上议院所发表的承认统考回答，已清楚地凸显一点，无论是在朝或在野，我国始终没有一位代议士能够跳出马来主义的框框。如果我国没有人可以突破这框框，也就意味着，从今以后再谈“承认统考”这码事也是枉然。

承认统考可以说是给予华文独中的一层保障，没有这层保障，也即表示华教人士还需继续紧绷神经，因为华文独中将会随时受到威胁！因此，华文教育界人士要必须打醒十二分精神，捍卫华文教育这码事一点也不可以松懈！

连小学生都知道，信守承诺是负责任的态度，也是诚信的基本要求。政治领袖应该谨记，“人无信不立，国无信不强”这个道理。如果说贪污自肥是违反了道德义务，那么，将大选承诺变成空头支票，就不只是一种纯粹的爽约，而是关系民心得失与政府公信。

在第14届全国大选中，95%华人集中火力支持希盟，虽然不全为了独中统考文凭，但是，“承认独中统考文凭”这个承若却牵住他们神经，让他们放弃了国阵“可考虑”的承诺，选择希盟的“承认”，如今换来的是“5年研究是否承认”，这和“可考虑”异曲同工，和选前的承诺相去甚远，难道这还不是失信吗？

政府失信无疑将为社会立下不良的标杆，即将会带坏社会，无法匡正我国的不良风气，这将导致我国的治国资源流失。一旦政府失信，即便在学校推行再多的道德教育也是枉然。先要被教育的，应该各位内阁部长和享有高官厚禄的人。

我也藉此提醒华社和各位华教人士，你们的蜜月期结束了，是时候打醒精神关注华社的切身问题。尽管希盟为华教描绘一条光明大道，但首100天的表现，的确让我担心，可能我们无法摸到前路。

呼吁人们让希盟灵活落实竞选承诺，别死脑筋坚持原汁原味宣言

大马希望联盟（希盟）政府主导的国会第一次会议，终于在昨日开始，国会也总算‘无惊无险’地结束了第二天的议程，选出了贤能人士拿督阿里夫担任国会议长，听取了最高元首的御词。虽然议长阿里夫并不是希盟竞选宣言中的所说的‘国会议员’之一，但只要这项委任符合国家的利益，不违宪，不违背希盟的核心宗旨，外界都应该欣然接受。

自从新政府两个月前上台后，许多人都急着要希盟实现竞选宣言中的诺言，并且僵硬地把联盟的竞选宣言奉为不可违抗的‘天条’或‘神谕’，虽然我也坚持政府必须信守承诺，但如有必要，他们可以灵活调整，对宣言中的一些承诺进行适时整合，以契合当时的条件，才能更有效地施政。

我个人认为，在这个多元文化、种族和宗教的国家，公共政策的实施都有其时间点和条件，不同的时间点和条件也将构成了不同的效果。倘若我们僵硬看待竞选宣言的承诺和过于侧重‘原汁原味‘，反而更容易误了实现承诺的时机。

审慎落实的框架、实施方案、实施时机和内容都会必须符合当时的条件，否则更容易弄巧反拙。在现实的民主社会，并不是胜者就可以得到‘为所欲为‘的筹码。尽管是承诺，但也不可同一时间百分百落实一切，这就是社会现实，我们必须接受。

我认为，一些承诺是必须或可以作适时调整的，以创造符合时局和时机的条件来落实有关承诺，但必须贴近我们所期待的愿景。

我们身为人民的，应该如理思维；而身为政治人物的，应该善用政治智慧、拿出政治勇气和决心，将承诺落实到位，以及推动深化改革。

除此之外，为了深化体制的改革，国会上议院也必须经历一次重大的改革，淡化上议员委任的政党意识形态的色彩，以便上议院能更有效地监督政府政策和法案的推行。

我希望执政的希盟拿出政治勇气，让上议院拥有更严肃的角色，而不是充当下议院的一块橡胶印。因此，委任更多中立者，就是一个开始，以摒弃守旧的政党路线，赋予上议院新气象。

若上议院进行这一个转变，它肩负的就不是政党的路线，而是追求兑现对选民的承诺。

Happy Birthday Tun, and happy returns to building a top class nation

MP SPEAKS | Today is the 93rd birthday of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Let me take this opportunity to publicly wish “Tun, happy 93rd birthday – many happy returns to build a new political legacy of democracy, justice and unity as well as Malaysia as an international top-class nation which is a "beacon of light in a disturbed and distracted world".

Many have kept asking how I could co-operate with Mahathir when in the past, for the best part of my 53 years in politics, we had been at loggerheads – for instance, with me in the opposition while Mahathir was the fourth prime minister for 22 years from 1981 to 2003. I was even detained for 18 months with (Lim) Guan Eng under the Internal Security Act during Ops Lalang, from October 1987 to April 1989.

Malaysia was placed in unparalleled peril under the sixth prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, with Malaysians ashamed to admit that they are Malaysians in the international arena because of the infamy, ignominy and iniquity of becoming a global kleptocracy as a result of the international 1MDB money-laundering scandal, hurtling in the trajectory towards a failed, rogue, kakistocratic and kleptocratic state.

Nobody could be sure that Malaysia could be "saved" from Najib in the 14th general election, but a supreme effort had to be mounted, for we believe that Malaysians who want a clean, just, free, democratic and united Malaysia are more patriotic than Malaysians who are prepared to see Malaysia go down the drain to become a failed state.

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREETING TO YAB TUN DR. MAHATHIR

Many, many, many, many happy returns of the day.

The Nation will definitely pray for YAB’s good health, longevity and also strength to YAB Tun Mahathir for fortunately and unfortunately, YAB Tun Mahathir still have to lead Malaysia.

The Nation will continue to cover YAB Tun Mahathir with our prayers.

We all need you and we love you.

God bless YAB Tun Mahathir and YAB Tun Siti Hasmah.

Treat Najib with respect, dignity, DPM tells MACC

I SUPPORT THIS CALL – Treat Najib with respect , dignity , DPM tell MACC. After all he is still innocent until proven. I also pray for God’s strong support of his well being especially now that he has to weather a very difficult time & tough period. Please allow NAJIB to address his challenges and to defend himself. We need please to remain cool & calm. God Bless. Amen

KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail hopes the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will treat Datuk Seri Najib Razak with respect and dignity.

In a statement today, Dr Wan Azizah said she prayed for justice for the former prime minister and his family.

“We respect the law, and we hope Najib is accorded respect and dignity by the MACC. Let us allow the legal process to run its course,” said Dr Wan Azizah who is currently attending the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (ACMDRR) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Najib was arrested at his residence on Jalan Langgak Duta here at 2.35pm yesterday by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over its investigation into SRC International.

He was today charged in the Sessions Court here, with three counts of CBT, one count of abuse of power in connection with SRC International funds totalling RM42 million. —
