PETALING JAYA, 13 OCTOBER, 2010: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar has directed Officers-in-Charge of Police Districts (OCPDs) to go out to meet representatives of security companies in their respective districts in efforts to check crime. He said such meetings could enhance the level of security in the areas concerned through feedbacks and suggestions from the residents to overcome crime in their area.
"I want the district police chiefs to meet with all the security companies and discuss important issues to tackle security problems (in their respective areas)," he said.Earlier, he opened the Seminar on the Direction of the Security Industry organized by the Asian Professional Security Association (APSA) and the Malaysian Association of Security Guard Services (PPKKM), here today.
Also present was the Chief Security Officer of the Government, Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Johari Jamaluddin and the Deputy Secretary of the Security and Public Order Division of the Home Ministry, Habsah Sidek.
