Reference is made by UMNO Senator Mohd Ali Rustam, who has asked for disciplinary action to be taken against any MACC officers seen to be alleged involved in attempts to smear the image of the country’s leaders including that of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

I like to highlight that Mohd Ali Rustam, being a former Chief Minister of Malacca and current Senator should not have aired in a public article against MACC.  Instead should interact quietly with the MACC authorities to put the thing right.  What he was saying is literally, blatantly and clearly of hitting the MACC officers below the belt.  Surely but truly, MACC being a self-disciplined authority should not be blamed for carrying out their duties without fear or favor and I have read many times, Chief Commissioner of MACC, Tan Sri Abu Kassim said it. “MACC WILL CARRY OUT THEIR PERFORMANCE AND INVESTIGATION WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOUR AND WITH TRANSPARENCY”.

If the former Chief Minister of Malacca has not much to do, the public would like him to monitor and promote the spirit of Muhibbah amongst the various races in Malaysia.  Stop creating the likelihood of bias accusation against the MACC, knowing that their hands are tied and cannot retaliate.  Shame on you, Mohd Ali Rustam.

Please be a gentleman to express and say sorry to MACC and a word of reminder – please leave it to the professional authorities to carry out their performance and duties with transparency.  The Nation feels that you are nothing but hoping to seek the limelight at the cost of the suffering of the professional authorities.  Repent and apologize as the Nation is waiting. 

Along the line, I must congratulate Abu Kassim for being the Chief Commissioner of MACC, who has said, that he would rather resign from his post than attack his officers. Bravo for your wisdom and integrity!!!  MACC officer’s moral must be uplifted at all times.

The Nation can only conclude that you are a coward.
