On this auspicious occasion for the week of World Press Freedom Day, I wish to put on record that this divine liberty, governed by human rights and that all human being should respect and practice this true spirit.
Not only for World Press Freedom but freedom of speech. It would be deplorable if access to independent and important news was being prevented in anyway. We should strongly condemn any blocking of the trusted news that has been broadcast around the world including via distribution partners.
A word of advice and suggestion to our local media organization that they should not be duly influenced by any party or individuals so as to unnecessary sensor or delete whatever news which is to be shared by entire world. Malaysia is definitely under the watch and scrutiny of worldwide independent news agencies again, plus human right organization and also the United Nations. Please avoid from making Malaysia as a laughing stock in this respect.
We pray, God will continue to bless and guide our leaders to be very much aware of the importance of freedom of speech and world press freedom especially during this World Press Freedom Day.
