Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) executive
council member Robert Phang said that according to statistics, reported crime
was at its highest during Musa's (left) tenure as the country's top
cop.
Phang said that crime in 2010 had "reduced significantly"
to 177,520 from 209,817 in 2009, praising Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and
Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein for embarking on "painstaking efforts to
implement crime prevention programmes".
In lambasting Musa, Phang (left) added that the
former IGP should have pointed out that the PRS system was not functioning well
during his term in office and should have put in more effort to "redress" the
issue.
