Letters - Reconsider rally site

MARINA Chin, please do not create any more havoc or negative impact for Malaysia vis-a-vis foreigners and even our own rakyat by your insistence to have the Bersih 4 Rally at Dataran Merdeka.

After all, your main objective and mission is to ensure the voice of the rakyat is heard. Surely but truly, it would be better and well organised if the rally can be held at Bukit Jalil – it is a good environment, and bear in mind the need to prevent any unnecessary problems, namely avoiding any possible riots, etc.

You are not a proper spokesperson who can guarantee that the crowd at the rally can be controlled. The Datuk Bandar of Kuala Lumpur and the police are in a better position to ensure that the rally does not turn ugly.

Please do not be stubborn as you need to take into consideration the livelihood of the rakyat in the business sector. If there should be any unpleasantness, these people will be greatly affected.

Please Marina Chin, be sensible and do kindly reconsider your decision. If anything untoward happens, you will be held responsible. Please do reconsider to change the venue or postpone to a later date as advised by the Datuk Bandar of Kuala Lumpur.
