MARIA CHIN & COMMITTEE MEMBERS– PLEASE AVOID UNNECESSARY CHAOS IN THE CITY.

26TH August 2015.

PRESS STATEMENT BY:-
TAN SRI DATUK ROBERT PHANG MIOW SIN
JUSTICE OF THE PEACE.
CHAIRMAN – SOCIAL CARE FOUNDATION

I must highlight to you, majority of us including me support your good mission – the voice of the Rakyat has to be heard and ensured to be heard.

To avoid all unpleasantness, ugliness and even turning into a chaotic situation in our city, all efforts must be deployed to stop this avoidable unruly situation.  Bear in mind, we have already had very adverse impact and perception by the International Media.  We also need to ensure your mission is achieved.

Therefore, I repeat again to avoid unnecessary ugliness and even possible bloodshed, please reconsider the choice of venue for the Bersih 4 rally.  There are many Rakyat who phoned me and repeated this appeal to me to persuade you to reconsider your decision. Please allow us to ponder, what is your actual objective as everybody supports the same mission.

I also appeal to PDRM to ensure that they will properly conduct themselves in crowd control and restrain from any uncalled for actions.  As Dato’ Ambiga has clearly stated that this is a peaceful gathering of fellow Malaysians.  Please Tan Sri IGP/KP Kuala Lumpur Dato’ Taj, extend all your facilities and support to this peaceful rally.

Avoid unnecessary problems as you need also take into consideration that the Merdeka Celebration will be held the very next day at Dataran Merdeka.  Whereas Merdeka Day falls on 31st August 2015, have you taken consideration as a patriotic Malaysian not to create havoc or bad publicity for our country.  We need to show our solidarity spirit, we have to do it in a most conducive environment be i.e. Bukit Jalil Stadium or it’s equivalent.

Lastly, please know that we support your mission.

MERDEKA, MERDERKA, MERDEKA.

“HUMBLENESS IS GOOD VIRTUE, ARROGANCE SHALL FALL, AND THE MEEK WILL RULE THE WORLD”.

Tan Sri Datuk Robert Phang
Justice of the Peace.
