CHAIRMAN –
SOCIAL CARE FOUNDATION
Many of us
have read your article over the teenage who was jailed over rude TMJ remarks.
It is
definitely not our culture at all to utter bad remarks against our elder more
so not to our rulers. This is a very traditional and valued practice
which has to be ensured to be carried down from generation to generation.
Definitely the mistake by this teenager is over board, however taking into
consideration on humanitarian grounds and by serving this one (1) year jail
sentence will definitely create a dangerous trauma on this young lad.
This then can be a life changing episode and may require a long time to
heal. It is definitely not a matter of sweeping things under the carpet
and we are not doing anything good to rehabilitate this young man.
If our good
TMJ is prepared to forgive such an issue, I think all consideration must be
given. The immediate and right thing to do is to arrange for a face to
face dialogue with TMJ. TMJ has definitely demonstrated a true example of
a GOOD LEADER AND RULER OF OUR NATION.
My heartiest
salutation to you, TMJ.
HUMBLENESS
IS A GOOD VIRTUE, ARROGANCE SHALL FALL AND THE MEEK WILL RULE THE WORLD”.
